Earth Day!!!!

Wednesday is Earth Day!!!!! 

Do something good for the earth.  Recycle, turn off your air conditioning, walk instead of drive, get some energy efficient light bulbs, or appliances, buy a travel mug instead of getting your daily coffee in a paper cup.  There are a ton of things that you can do that are easy yet will make a big difference in the world around us.  

Here are a few more:

start a compost

buy organic foods

buy fabric and garments made of hemp or other organic fibers

spend your money in local, smaller stores

bring your own tupperware and take leftovers home in that rather then a styrofoam container

turn on your dishwasher only when it is full

go outside and fly a kite, hang out on the beach, read a book in the park... instead of watching tv all day

find a place to recycle old electronics instead of throwing them away, many recycle centers will do this for you free of charge

Heres a lazy mans suggestion, and what I used to do:  if you do not have a recycle bin that gets picked up by the city, and you do not want to drive your recyclables to a center... just put them in a bag, and set next to your dumpster, and someone with a shopping cart will come by... trust me, they will.
